Recommendation-500 days of summer and ramen girl

500 days of summer

It’s a clever but sweet, touchy but not looks like cheap movie. All I want to say is YOU MUST WATCH THIS. Period.

Ramen Girl

I rarely recommend romantic comedy movie, but I thought this one must be come to on-my-list movies. Brittany Murphy’s funny and I’m her fans from now! unfotunately she’s already gone. RIP Brit!

Recommendation-A lot

I watched many great movies that I haven’t share with u all. These are movies with a strong story and filled with good messages. Anyway from all the good movies I ever watched, I wanna thank abang2 DVD (who the name I forgot) who always give recommendation to me. I’m impressed how you know everything about the movies that you sold. Here some of them:

The Guitar, directed by Amy Redford. Story of a woman with cancer that’s just predicted only had 2 months life by her doctor. How she spent everyday of her life with a break up with her boyfriend and at the same time got fired from her job.

American Violet. This is a story of justice. When skin color become a reason for someone to get jailed and how a young woman survived and faced the racism in the court of justice.

Shrink. Even a Doctor needs a Doctor. And you can found how Hollywood’s life isn’t always happy-all-the-time, it also had its darker side in its people’s life. Everyone had problems but don’t live with that, just found your happiness on your own. Dear Frankie. Whatever happened with you mother always be there for you. Especially if you have a deaf child, only mother who would sacrifice and fight for her child’s happiness. Well I do still believe that truth always be better than lie.

Mozart and the Whale. Everyone deserved love either the people who live with autism. Two persons with Asperger syndrome could be a happy couple if they could deal with that and filled each other’s holes. And I just love Josh Hartnett’s emotional act, whatever the role he still charming and handsome!

The Class. This is a story of a wonderful, kind, and patient teacher. I would be very happy if I had a teacher like him. And the students here are a very bad naughty kid.

Okay, from all these movies I really like Mozart and The Whale! And Teddy already wathed it and had the same opinion with me. Have fun with the movies, Ciao!

Recommendation- Where God Left His Shoes

Again.. i found a great movie from the recommendation of abang2 DVD. this is an emotional movie. just watch. i gotta tell u that not all story hada happy ending. i become a fans of John Leguizamo right after i watch this, maybe u too. go find out!

Recommendation-The Boy in A Striped Pyjamas

This movie tells about Bruno, who really bored of his new home. He found a way in his backyard and meet Schmuel, a Jew kid. They’re become friends in secret. Bruno’s father is a German’s soldier and assign to that place to supervised Jew hostage. This movie takes place when Hitler signed his hate and demolished Jews in German.

I could say that this movie is stunning, like a typical other festival movies. It shows us how cruel Hitler’s era from a different view, by a story of friendship. The story is so powerful and the visual is stunning. This really is a great movie!

Recommendation- VANTAGE POINT and ONCE

I got 2 movie recommendations this week. Well, this week is my first week of this semester  and it gets really busy in the campus, so I haven’t get a chance to visit my dvds seller (a. k. a. abang2 dvd). So, I would share 2 of my movie collections. The first one is Vantage Point. It’s about a murder of the president of USA in Spain. Actually from the story side I don’t feel much different from the other heroic-action-movie. But I really appreciate the idea of the execution. This story brought up from 8 points of view of the character. I think I’ve read somewhere that they shoot with 8 cameras from different angle of the character. And the truth reveal pretty shocking at the end. Well, I want to salute the Director and DOP of this movie, because they made an action movie become a very interesting movie. And for me, this is one of the best Whitaker’s appearances. An intelligent movie and intense thriller.

The second movie is Once. This is a music film about a guitarist/songwriter and a Czech girl who play piano. They get to know each other and they found connections in his songs. I have to tell you that all the songs in this movie are great! I even search the mp3. Well this is an indie movie I guess and it already won some awards too. This movie tells us the meaning of commitment, dream, love and friendship. It’s a very simple movie, though touching and inspiring. Well, that’s my recommendation. Enjoy!

x-men origins: wolverine

this movie recently out in my town, jakarta. Well, i gotta see this movie because i am a fan of X-Men movies. i followed from the first movie. hugh jackman played as wolverine, and i love him soo much. i think he’s fit this role. his act really draw out wolverines’ character.

i plan to watch this movie this week. and i cant wait to see it!!
