Hello friends,

I wanna share two books that really caught my attention lately. They are “Membunuh Indonesia: Konspirasi Global penghancur Kretek” and “Perempuan Berbicara Kretek”. Both of the books talk about the tobacco industry in Indonesia. The first book is controversial because it provides you some shocking facts about the industry and history of Kretek (a kind of cigarette-Indonesian cigarette). Since these books are controversial, esp the first, you won’t find it in the bookstore nowadays, they’re banned. If you’re curious, you can buyt it here, it’s the only online bookstore that still sell these books, I bought it there too.

Anyway,

I found a very talented illustrator. Oh how I love his artwork. Huebucket aka Chalermphol H. Here’s one of my favorite.

Currently, I’m listening to Chris Brown’s new album, FORTUNE, it’s kickin ass wohooo!

I accidentally found this band while youtubing, listened to the
lions in cage and instantly fell in love with them!

I’ve been listening to this album all day and it keep me on beat. A lot of piano, touch of electro, 80’s disco, and beautiful (poetic) lyrics. Go Wolf Gang!

I’m a big fans of OASIS, the british band, a rockin’ popular in the 90’s. I make this post to share what’s my top 10 song, some of them very popular, some of them just a B-side. today is october 15th, well 10 days to go to payday!

what happened in our basecamp? there’s a lot of virus flying around us ya know… one of them infected Dera, she has a fever! before her, Tante Pili and ii-chin got one too. me? i hope not! well i’m the kind of person who rarely got sick, but.. when i got one, i almost can’t go anywhere, even if it’s just a flu.

and so many oasis’ songs floating around here. too bad noel left the band because i’m much in love with him! ya know he’s like the bad-boy-turning-into-great-father kinda thing, so sexy! and as everyone know he’s the “machine” in the band. most of the songs written by him and in my opinion, a lot of oasis’ songs is better sung by him than liam. if there’s a chance u guys (noel or liam and his beady eye) comin to jakarta i would never missed the show! so, come here please 🙂

i just search for vidos in youtube when i found brooke white’s video singing let it be. and it make me relize how beautiful the song.  until now, theres a lot of cover versions of this song sang by musicians around the world. well, i think there are two different version of let it be that always spinning in my  head,  the first one is across the universe movie’s version and the second one is by brooke white in American Idol, other than the original version of beatles itself. here it is..
